another month gone by

well, here it is, another month has past with no post.. sorry about that if any of you are still reading this.. ;)

This has been the winter from hell! we've more snow and subzero temps than I think I've ever had to deal with! at least after I stopped getting snow days from school.. ;) We're supposed to get another at least 12 inches tonight and tommorow. It'll be raining or snowing every day this week, and it just so happens to be the week an old friend from high school is 2 hours away from here for work... She lives in CT, and I haven't seen her in about 13 years! I really really want to see her, but I'm also hesitant about driving on the highway for 2 hours to a place I've never been..We'll see what happens..

So, I'm shooting pics for another play. I actually just did the dress rehersal pics last night. One of the actors wasn't there, so I'll probably go back on thursday for a bit to get some pics of him. One of the actresses might call me regarding putting together a scrapbook for her daughter who's graduating high school this year. hope that pans out! :) make sure to stop by Selena's blog for an update! I was soo excited to see a post from her!

as for scrapping, I haven't done a tremendous amount lately. for some reason, it's becoming a chore...I think becouse I don't have a goal, like an album I'm working on..and I don't have alot of pics that I want to scrap at the moment. I wish somebody would hire me, so then I'd have something to scrap! I think I'm just in a funk, I'll blame it on the weather.. ;)

Has it really been a month!!!

OMG, I can't believe I haven't posted in a month!!! BAD KY!! ;) I gotta say, I'm sooo glad December is gone! between all the snow, and work, then being sick, and the holidays, it was a very busy (but good) month! I joined Curves on the 17th and have now gone 4 times!! I'm so proud of myself! :) I got really really close to a number I didn't want to hit so I decided I was really gonna do something this time! and now I'm committed to paying every month for a year, so if I don't go I'm just throwing money out the door.. ;)

On the scrapping side of life things are going well. still hanging onto my 2 CT's, although I have noticed a down turn on my activeness of the sites. :( on the business front things are well! I got my first job from a coworker to do 4 layouts. I finally got them done on New years day and got them ordered today!! I can't wait to see the final product and see her reaction! She's seen them on screen, but seeing it in person is just so much better.. ;)

Hi there! Ok, so I've decided on Kyda's Kreations for my business name. I orderd a bunch of marketing materials from Vista print, all free except shipping, so that's super cool! :) I've also been working on templates and quick pages to use for the business.

On the photography front, I just posted a slideshow on my photography blog, I'd love to get some opinons, if you feel like checking it out! :)

We're having a nasty storm today. It started snowing at about 10ish this morning while I was at work and by the time I left at noon had switched to freezing rain and tiny hail, now it's just freezing rain. I'm so glad that we don't have anywhere to go! We should be set on soda and smokes till monday.. ;)

Oh, don't forget to check out the SAS designer contest going on. There was a glitch with the voting system, but they've got it figured out now, so if your not registered yet, go do it and snag 17 coordinating kits! :)

too much in my head

Hey, I just needed to vent, maybe get alittle advice, I don't know, but the think is, I have too much going on in my head and not enough push to get it out...

I want to start the S4H business, I want to further my photography skills, I want to start up the website for Winnieshek. As for the S4H business, I feel like there's just so much to learn and do before I start up, so I stay in business and become sucessful, but sometimes I just want to say screw it with the prep, and just go for it, but also my forearms and wrists hurt all the time. I got a new chair, moved my mouse and keyboard down to the sliding tray of my desk, yet it's not helping, and that scares me becouse alot I love to do plus my real job, is all about being on the computer, mousing and typing. As for my photography skills, I read so much, but I feel like it's not sticking in my head. I need to take a class, talk to other people in person, but the only class that is available in this whole stinking town is at the college at 1pm in the afternoon. That's not going to work for me becouse even if I take my lunch break and go to class, I never know if I'm going to be able to go to lunch at the scheduled time becouse something is always coming up. And for the Winnieshek thing, they want me to write up a proposal, but I've never done one before and I'm having a really hard time motivating myself to start. I can talk to them about it, but actually putting it onto paper is proving to be a daunting task..

Anyway, I don't normally vent on my blog like this, sorry if you came looking for something interesting.. ;) But if you have any thoughts, or encouragment, or suggestions feel free to leave me a comment.. :)

layout spotlight

well still haven't decided on a name, but I'm leaning towards Kyda's Kreations... I'm really going to go into this fully prepared, I got some small business books from the library and I'm taking notes. :) might take a while to set up, but hopefully with all the background and planning I'm putting into it, it'll be fool proof. ;) So anyway, I wanted to show off this layout I did of my twiny poo (my twinsister amy) :) She was such an amazing athlete in high school, something I aspired to but never quite acheived. ;) anyway, I think she's awesome and wanted to show this off, so here you go Woowy head, just for you! :)



the kit is Anemone by BooLand Designs at Stone Accents Studio. Boo is a newly selling designer, but she's been giving out freebie's for a long time. Another cool british chick I'm happy to know! ;) take a look at her blog and her store, you won't regret it.. :)

I need some help

OK, this is gonna sound slightly dumb, but I really need help thinking of a cool name for my S4H business! I'd like to somehow incorporate Kyda Kreates but if it doesn't flow then I'll let it go. I was thinking maybe Scrapbooks and more, but that kinda sounds too generic, I also thought about Photo Creations. I'm drawing a blank! So chime in, what name do you think would be cool?

been side tracked

Hey there! miss me? hehe well, I've just been sorta spacing the blog a bit. I've been working on getting the pricing and stuff together for my scrap 4 hire business. I thought I had a job a couple weeks ago. The wife of Kirsten's boss had said she had a bunch of pictures she wanted put on dvd and then maybe some layouts like I had done for Kirsten, so I figured out a pricing structure and even ordered a new scanner, then I called the lady when I got home. turns out she wanted vhs tapes put to dvd!! Needless to say I was quite disapointed but at least I got a good scanner out of it and a kick in the but to get the business up and running. Mom and g-ma were just here for a week. that was alot of fun!! Mom bought us a new stove for christmas and g-ma bought a bunch of fabric to make us some curtains. I think that will help the house feel more homey. :)

well that's about all I have for ya today. Hope your doing good and for the american's have a great thanksgiving! btw, I can't believe how many readers I have in different countries! that's so cool!
