An Epic Dystopian Tale That Would Make A Great Major Motion Picture!

The world is coming to an end. That's not a prediction; it's a promise.

The World's End Series is a Grab-You-By-the-Throat-and-Won't-Let-Go thriller that is reminiscent of a cross between Stephen King's The Stand and Larry McMurtry's Lonesome Dove. An epic story told in three volumes, The World's End Series delivers action, heartache, romance and betrayal in equal measure. It will toy with your emotions - making you sad before causing you to laugh out loud, and then sending you reeling in shock and horror.

The story is populated with an unforgettable cast of fully formed characters, all struggling to survive in a world that is suddenly like nothing they ever imagined. It is sometimes a brutal world, and all the characters will not make it to their new home in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. But they will live on in the reader’s memory.

An all new tale on the cusp of real modern science featuring gene drives, Crispr/Cas9, EMP attacks, flakka, a smuggled nuclear bomb, World War III, a genetically engineered super flu and, oh yes, drones aplenty!

The summer read of the year! Don’t miss all three volumes of the World’s End Series. All are available now!

The World End Series Book One Dymond World eBook CW Crowe

Dymond’s World considers the question of what to do to save a planet that has too many people on it. Unlike other suggestions, like universal free birth control or voluntary euthanasia, the main characters in this book: Regina, her father, and Ryan decide most of the people have to die. The planet will be better off without those billions of “maggots.” The 1% left living will be able to repopulate the planet and presumably do a better job than their predecessors.

Even before the horrific events that create the termination event, most of the people in the book seem deeply unhappy, simply waiting for the moment “the sh*t hits the fan.” The millionaire battery maker, Ryan, is involved in a mutually abusive relationship with Regina, the queen of the great Doomsday plan. A chronic loser who sees God as Humpty-Dumpty laughing at him rescues a starving prostitute, the Dymond of the title, from an abusive biker.

Regina and her father, a 3-star general, orchestrate the steps, beginning with an electromagnetic pulse that knocks out power to the grid. That’s followed by nuclear attacks in Russia, China, and other countries. When the death count is rising too slowly, they have the Army hand out food packs that include a flu shot, which imparts not protection but a deadly strain of the flu similar to the 1918 flu epidemic.

The last part of the book includes some small gestures of grace, especially the priest who finally stands up to the bullies running the town. He is later punished, providing the inspiration for the disturbing image on the cover. Ryan leaves a couple of fifties in Mrs. White’s prescription bag, but it’s hard to know how much good money will be in a post-Apocalyptic world.

The ending is barely a pause in the plot, leading the reader to search out the next book in the series to know what happens next.

The book is well-written and flows well. However, it’s very dark - closer to Lord of the Flies than The Plague.

The World End Series Book One Dymond World eBook CW Crowe Reviews

I absolutely LOVE Post Apocalyptic books. Hey, you have to get your ideas when the time comes from somewhere, right? ).

Book One of this series was pretty interesting. Watching the sequence of events from the view points of Dy and Fallon, Vic, Mary and Sam, SeeBee and Hoppie and what Regina did to Jason? Unacceptable! I can't wait to see what happens going forward! But, if the rest are like this one? It's going to be a wild ride. I only hope I get to see what happens to the town that Ryan and Sue took over after key members of the leadership died!
Fantastic read! I loved the way the characters were developed and how fluidly it all came together. Someone else mentioned that this book gets gritty at times, and they were right. I loved it and thought the characters and story were awesome. A truly awesome thriller, and now I'm hoping to find out what happens next.

As soon as I opened the book I was engrossed, and I read it straight through in one sitting. I can't wait to read more stuff by this author.

One note there are a lot of characters and it can get rough to keep track of everything happening, but if that is something you like in stories then this is one for you!
There are many sub stories in the main story and I felt a bond with each character in each sub story.
If you like end of world books this is a good one to go with. Characters are good and story line flows nicely....
I enjoyed reading this book, but it is not very filling for this type of story. I have enjoyed the characters and they are certainly original. To leave the reader up in the air, just to sell another book, is no fun for the reader.
Well written story of the end of civilization that is so close to a real event, that could happen, that it's scary. I enjoyed the way the story was broken into different character segments to give the reader a more personalized view into the lives of each of the main characters. I recommend this to any reader who enjoys syfi post apocalyptic stores.
This is book one of a three part series, a Dystopian Tale about the world coming to an end. The book was well written, but scary. The characters were well defined and were broken down into segments. The planet is over populated and they must decide what to do. The main character of the book and her father think many people have to die to correct the situation. Intense and well written I received an advance copy and voluntarily chose to review this book. Although they're not my thing, If you like end of the world books, you'll love this one.
